“God is So Good” – Ukraine Update
We have received a few updates from our partners in Ukraine, and we want to share what God is doing and how his people all over the world are responding to his call.
More than $40,000 has been collected and put to work for humanitarian efforts by our Christian Life School of Theology Global (CLSTG) partner school leaders in Kiev. There is zero administrative overhead of any kind, so every penny goes directly to people we know and trust, with whom we have worked closely for over 30 years.
Several churches across the country are partnering with this mission through financial support, prayer and fasting. This is making so many things that look impossible to human eyes happen, and very quickly!
In addition to providing food, medical supplies and other necessities, the money has enabled the purchase of a cargo van for daily action, carrying supplies to wherever they’re needed most. Two passenger vans have also been obtained for moving women and children out of active combat zones and into safety. It is astounding how much God has done already, but this is just the beginning. Additional vehicles are needed to cover more ground in different areas, as drivers are already lined up and ready to go.
In the southern part of the country, the “green corridors” (evacuation routes) have been unreliable at best. There is constant shelling going on, and in many cases complete evacuation is impossible. For this reason, efforts are being made to restore several underground bomb shelters. These shelters require rehabilitation to ensure their safety, stock them with food and supplies, and purchase a passenger van to rescue people and get them to the safety of a shelter until they can be evacuated to other areas. So far, five bomb shelters have been completed.
All of this is a large undertaking, but where God leads, he provides.
“Please extend our most sincere thanks to everyone who is answering God’s call in supporting his children. We so appreciate the donations, and we especially appreciate the prayers. We are speaking personally to our dear brothers and sisters in Ukraine, and they express the same sentiment every day. God is so good, and it’s such an honor to be used by God to help facilitate his perfect plan. God will richly bless all those involved. God is so GOOD!” – Brandon Lusk, CLSTG Bible School, Ukraine
