5 Tips for Online Bible School Success
Many of our students at Christian Life School of Theology Global (CLSTG) are adult learners with prior on-campus college experience. Others are pursuing higher education for the first time. Whether you are seeking an advanced degree or just starting your college journey, a few helpful tips will help you take full advantage of all our online Bible school has to offer.
1. Ask Holy Spirit to Guide You
If you enrolled in an online theology degree program or are working toward a ministry certificate, you probably spent a considerable amount of time in prayer leading up to this point. You sought the Lord and felt Him leading you to take the next step toward His unique calling on your life. Now that you have committed to further education and training, don’t neglect to keep Holy Spirit involved in the process. Invite him to bless your studies and increase your understanding of the course material. Continue to lean into his guidance throughout your Bible school experience.
2. Create a Schedule
Flexibility is one of the greatest benefits of earning an online degree through CLSTG. We know you may be pursuing your education in the margins while juggling the responsibilities of a family, career and ministry. That’s why we offer an open enrollment system with no set start dates, allowing you to complete your coursework at a pace that suits your lifestyle. However, it is important to set goals that will keep you moving forward. Develop a weekly schedule and set aside specific hours to watch lectures and complete assignments. Set reminders for yourself, if necessary, to make sure your schooling remains a priority.
3. Set Up a Designated Study Space
Choose a specific spot in your home or office where you can study without distractions. This should be a quiet, comfortable location where you can focus on your work without interruption. Having a designated workspace will help you establish a routine, keep you organized and increase productivity.
4. Stay Connected
Be sure to contact our student success team if you have questions or need assistance. We are here to support you in any way we can as you work to fulfill your Kingdom calling! You can also join our email list to receive helpful resources and new course notifications.
5. Remember Your “Why”
Life happens, and you may encounter circumstances that delay your progress. Don’t give up! If you need to step away from your coursework for a season, it’s never too late to start again. Think about why you began your program of study in the first place, and allow God to reignite your passion for His purpose!
