The number of Americans who identify as Christian has steadily declined for nearly three decades. According to research from the Survey Center on American Life, Generation Z is the least religious generation yet. However, surveys and polls don’t tell the whole story. Young people today are searching for something bigger than themselves.
Millennials and Gen Z were less likely than previous generations to experience spiritual disciplines during childhood. Saying grace before meals or attending Sunday school are no longer the common-place activities they once were. The problem is not that young adults are walking away from the faith — it is that they never had a foundation of faith upon which to build.
The widespread isolation and despair fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic led many people to search for comfort in a higher power. Young people, in particular, have turned to crystals, herbs and other New Age practices in their quest for spirituality.
They sense there is more to life than themselves, and their hearts are ripe for an encounter with Jesus, the only One who satisfies.
The Asbury revival showed us that, despite declining stats, God is at work in the younger generation. We have a unique opportunity as an online Bible college to reach those who are seeking truth, not just in the U.S. but around the globe. Christian Life School of Theology Global (CLSTG) offers hundreds of online courses taught by leading theologians, pastors and teachers. We are positioned to provide instruction and training to anyone who desires a deeper understanding of God and his Word.
CLSTG is different from the average Bible school or seminary because we offer customized learning experiences for each student. Not only can students work at their own pace, but they can also choose the courses that fit their specific goals and interests. Our programs are more affordable than most institutions, making them accessible to even younger, less established individuals.
If you feel called to help raise up a new generation of Christ-followers, consider partnering with us to launch your own Bible college! Startup is easier than you think, and we’ll walk with you each step of the way.
