Those who want to learn more about this exclusive opportunity are encouraged to participate in our livestream interest meeting on Tuesday, October 15 at 12:30 p.m. EST. CLSTG President, Dr. Randal Langley, will be going live to give you a sneak peek into the program experience and answer your questions.
Program Structure
The Master of Executive Leadership is an online cohort that begins January 21, 2025. Live classes will be hosted every two weeks throughout the 2-year program. Training is divided into five modules totaling 60 credit hours:
- Effective Personal Productivity
- Effective Personal Leadership
- Effective Coaching and Empowerment
- Effective Motivational Leadership
- Effective Strategic Leadership
What Makes Our Program Different
The CLSTG Master of Executive Leadership follows a Competency-Based Education (CBE) approach that focuses on students’ mastery of specific skills or competencies rather than the traditional emphasis on time spent in a classroom or completion of a predetermined curriculum. The primary goal of CBE is to ensure that students acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in their chosen field or profession.
CBE Objectives:
- Mastery vs. Seat Time: Students must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in each competency before moving on to the next, regardless of the time it takes.
- Individualized Learning: CBE recognizes that students have different starting points, learning styles and paces. It offers personalized learning paths that allow students to focus on areas where they need more support.
- Flexible Pace: CBE allows for flexibility in pace, enabling students to accelerate through concepts they have already mastered and spend more time on areas where they need additional development.
- Competency-Based Assessments: A variety of assessment methods are used, including performance-based assessments, projects, portfolios and real-world applications. These assessments provide a more comprehensive and authentic view of students’ knowledge when compared to standardized tests.
- Focus on Real-World Relevance: Competency-Based Education aligns with industry standards and workforce needs. Emphasis is placed on developing skills and knowledge that are directly applicable in real-life contexts, preparing students for success in their chosen careers.
- Continuous Feedback and Support: Teachers, mentors, and peers play an active role in providing guidance, constructive feedback, and targeted interventions to help students progress in their learning.
